Payment of RMG workers by Ramadan 20 demanded

Staff Correspondent: A labour organization has asked the garment factory owners to pay wages and festival bonus to workers by 20th Ramadan.

The leaders also asked the government to take all necessary steps to stop illegal termination of workers just before Eid-ul-Fitr and to ensure salary and bonus of the workers in time.

Jatiya Garment Sramik Federation held a rally in front of the National Press Club on Friday pushing for the demand.

They said that garment workers every year suffer for Eid bonus and they cannot observe the festival with festivity.

Presided over by President of the federation Amirul Haq Amin, the programme was addressed, among others, by General Secretary Arifa Akhter, central leader Faruk Khan, Shafia Parvin and Faridul Islam.
