People rushing home to celebrate Eid

Staff Correspondent: Braving all sorts of odds like traffic congestion and harassment the city people in thousands from Thursday evening started leaving capital Dhaka for their respective village homes to celebrate the Eid-ul-Fitr with their near and dear ones.

In capital Dhaka, the home-bound passengers are crowding railway stations and Sadarghat launch and Gabtoli, Sayedabad and Mohakhali inter-district bus terminals.

Many office employees left Dhaka Thursday night.
 
The government has introduced additional inter-district train, BRTC bus and launch services to cope with the rush of the passengers. 

The Eid will be celebrated on June 5 or 6, depending on the sighting of Shawal moon.
