Piracy charges against Asif: Probe report submission Dec 17

Staff Correspondent: A Dhaka court on Wednesday fixed December 17 for submitting the probe report on song piracy charge against popular singer Asif Akbar.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Nibana Khayer Jesi fixed the new date as investigation officer failed to submit the probe report today.

On June 5, a team of Criminal Investigation Department arrested him from his studio in capital’s Moghbazar.

Later, he was sent to jail hours after the CID team arrested him over a case filed by lyricist, composer and singer Shafiq Tuhin.
