Plot to murder Joy: Charge sheet submitted against 5

Staff Correspondent: Police on Tuesday filed charge sheet against five people on charge of plotting to kidnap and kill prime minister's son Sajeeb Wazed Joy.
Sub-Inspector Jalal, registration officer of court police said that Hasan Arafat, senior assistant commissioner of the Detective Branch (DB) of police, submitted the charge sheet to the court of chief metropolitan magistrate on Tuesday.
The court fixed March 6 to sign the chargesheet.
The five accused in the charge sheet are- Shafik Rehman, former editor of weekly magazine Jai Jai Din, Mahmudur Rahman, acting editor of Bangla daily Amar Desh, Mohammad Ullah Mamun, vice-president of Jatiyatabadi Samajik Sangskritik Sangstha (Jasas), and his son Rizvi Ahmed Caesar and Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan, an expatriate businessman living in the United States.
SI Jalal Uddin said Shafik Rehman and Mahmudur Rahman were named as alleged conspirators in the charge sheet.
Earlier on August 4, 2015, DB police inspector Fazlur Rahman filed a general diary (GD) with Paltan police station. Later, the GD turned into a case.
