Police drive in Ctg hotel suspecting militant whereabouts

Staff Correspondent, Chattogram: Police conducted raid in a residential hotel in the port city Chattogram over suspecting militant whereabouts.

However, cops found nothing there.

Members of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit surrounded Hotel Favour Inn International at Station road of the city around 6:30pm on Saturday.

A team of bomb disposal unit also rushed to the spot immediately.

Md Mohsin, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kotwali Police Station, confirmed the news.

He said, “A drive was conducted on suspicion of militant whereabouts in the hotel. The operation was declared end around 8:15pm as nothing was found there.”
