BUET bans politics on campus

Vice Chancellor (VC) of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) declares ban on all kinds of political activities on the campus based on his power.

VC Prof Saiful Islam came up with the declaration in a meeting with student delegation on Friday afternoon.

The decision came out as a sequel to murder of Abrar Fahad, a second year student of the university.

Abrar (21), a resident of Sher-E-Bangla residential hall, was found unconscious on staircase of Sher-e-Bangla Hall of BUET early Monday. He was a second-year student of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
