'Power supply will be back to normal by Saturday'

Staff Correspondent: State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid Bipu said that the power supply will be brought back to normal by Saturday.

The minister made the announcement while addressing a press conference at Bidyut Bhaban in the capital on Thursday.

He said, "The general people are suffering in the scorching heat due to acute power shortage. The overall power supply will be back to normal by Saturday."

In reply to a question, the minister said that Summit Bibiyana and Summit Meghnaghat will be inaugurated on Saturday. So, there is a possibility that the overall power supply will be normal.

The problem of load shedding will get permanent solution within 3-4 years, he added.
