Prices of cowhide fixed at Tk50-55 per sft in Dhaka

Secretariat Correspondent: Prices of rawhides mixed with salt have been fixed at Tk 50-55 per square foot in Dhaka Tk 40-45 per square foot outside the capital ahead of the Eid-ul-Azha, second biggest religious festival of the Muslims.

Besides, the prices of male goatskin have been set at Tk 20-22 per square foot in Dhaka, while female goatskin at Tk 15-17 per square foot.

The prices were announced today (Sunday) after a meeting at commerce ministry with representatives from the industry.

Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed presided over the meeting where industry ministry secretary M Abdullah, commerce ministry secretary Suvashish Bosh and others attended.
