Prices of vegetables go up

Staff Correspondent: The price of different vegetables has increased in the capital this week.

The prices of vegetables increased by Tk 5-7 a kilogram over the week in several markers including capital's Jigatola, New-market, Rayerbagh.

Aubergine was selling at Tk 55 a kg, papaya at Tk 45 a kg, bitter gourds at Tk 60-60 a kg, okra at Tk 50 a kg, cucumber at Tk 45 a kg, tomatoes at Tk 80-90 a kg and each piece of bottle gourd at Tk 50-60 on Friday.

The price of Chicken (broiler) was unchanged. Chicken (broiler) was selling at Tk 160 per kg while chicken (local) Tk 210.
