Prices of vegetables increase in capital

Staff Correspondent: The prices of vegetables have risen a bit compared to last week.

Visiting different kitchen markets including Jigatola, Rayerbazar this correspondent witnessed that the prices of vegetables increased by Tk 5-10 a kilogram.

Gourd was selling at Tk80 per piece, cucumber at Tk 60 a kg, lemon at Tk 40 a hali (four pieces).  

Besides, the aubergine was selling at Tk 40, tomatoes at Tk30, papaya at Tk 25 a kg, bitter gourds at Tk 100 a kg, carrot at Tk 30, potato at Tk20, cauliflower at Tk25 each piece on Friday.

On the other hand, the price of broiler chicken remained same. Chicken (broiler) was selling at Tk 140 per kg while chicken (local) Tk 220. The beef price also remained same.
