Public Works Dept implementing projects worth Tk 6000

Secretariat Correspondent: Public Works Department (PWD) is implementing development projects worth about Tk 6,000 crore of 29 ministries in current fiscal year.

Housing and Public Works Minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain made the disclosure while addressing as the chief guest at a review meeting on projects under implementation at the PWD conference room on Wednesday.

Mosharraf Hossain said this department has achieved a remarkable capacity in implementing development projects.

Mentioning the development of the projects, he said construction work of three 20-storey buildings has been completed in Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant project area in only 13 months. Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) has verified the quality of these buildings and foreigners alongside the local people are residing there.
