Public transport to remain suspended from March 26 to April 4

The government has decided that all public transport services will remain suspended from March 26 to April 4 to contain coronavirus outbreak.

A press release signed by Deputy Chief Information Officer of Road Transport and Highways Division Abu Naser was issued on Tuesday.

Truck, covered van and vehicles carrying medicine, fuel and perishable items will remain out of its purview.

According to press release, no passenger can travel by goods-carrying vehicles.

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader sent a video message in this regard, the press release also said.
