Question leak: Arrest warrant issued against 78

Staff Correspondent: A court in Dhaka issued arrest warrant against 78 absconding accused in a case filed over their involvement in question leaks of Dhaka University’s ‘Gha’ unit entry test.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Sarafuzzaman Ansary passed the order on Wednesday.  

The court also fixed July 30 for submitting police report regarding arrest update in the case.

Earlier on Jun 23, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of police pressed charges against 125 people, including 87 students. Besides, two chargesheets were submitted against one in juvenile court as one of them was a teenager.

According to the case statement, 47 were arrested and the rest are absconding, with 46 having given confessional statements.
