RAB intelligence chief being sent to Singapore

Staff Correspondent: The chief of Intelligence department of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Lt. Col. Abul Kalam Azad who sustained serious injuries in a blast near a militant den in Sylhet, is being sent to Singapore for advance treatment.

Mizanur Rahman, Senior Assistant Director of RAB (legal and media), confirmed the news.

The RAB official is currently undergoing treatment at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka in critical state.

Six people including two cops were killed and several others injured as two powerful bombs went off at separate places near 'Atia Mahal', the militant den at Shibbari of the district's Dakkhin Surma upazila.
