RAB to ensure special security for Eid

Staff Correspondent: The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has taken a two-week special security measures for peaceful celebration of Eid-ul-Azha.

RAB Director General (DG) Benazir Ahmed came up with announcement while addressing a press briefing in RAB media center in city’s Karwanbazar on Saturday noon.

He said that RAB is implementing a two-week security plan prior and after the Eid-ul-Azha. A total of 245 patrol teams will work across the country. And 56 striking reserve forces will be also deployed.

Benazir Ahmed also said that many people will leave Dhaka during Eid. A total of 20 temporary camps have been setup in capital's exit points to ensure smooth Eid travel.

"Traffic jam is created on Dhaka-Chattogram highway due to construction work in Meghna and Gumti Bridge. That’s why there will be two temporary camps in the area," he added.
