Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka, 1st Test: Rain stops play

Sports Desk: Bangladesh trail by 182 runs with 0 wickets remaining in the 1st innings on third day of the first Test against Sri Lanka in Galle on Thursday.

Rain interrupted the play after Bangladesh went all-out during innings break. Later, the rain stopped but the umpires decided to abandon the play at 4:10pm (local time).

Skipper Mushfiqur Rahim scored 85 to help Bangladesh avoid follow on, but the Tigers could not manage more than 312 in their first innings.

Sri Lankan player Dilruwan Perera and Rangana Herath both picked up three wickets. Herath grabbed 3 for 72 in 26.2 overs while Dilruwan captured 3 for 53 in 19.
