Rajshahi city polls: Bulbul, Liton collect nomination papers

Staff Correspondent: Mayoral candidates, backed by ruling Awami League and BNP, have collected nomination papers for the upcoming city corporation elections in Rajshahi.

Rajshahi Metropolitan Awami League President also former Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton and incumbent mayor Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul confirmed the matter on Wednesday.

Khairuzzaman Liton said, Metropolitan Awami League general secretary Dablu Sarkar collected the nomination form from Dhaka on behalf of him.

On the other hand, Mayor Bulbul said Rajshahi divisional organizing secretary Ruhul Kuddus Talukdar Dulu collected nomination paper on behalf of him from BNP's central official at Nayapaltan this morning.

A total of 134 candidates collected nomination papers for contesting in the forthcoming election of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC).
