Ramadan to begin Thursday if moon sighted Wednesday

Staff Correspondent: The holy month of Ramadan will begin from Thursday if the moon is sighted in the sky of Bangladesh tomorrow (Wednesday).
National Moon Sighting Committee will hold a meeting tomorrow in this regard at the conference room of Islamic Foundation, Baitul Mukarram Mosque.
A press release issued from the Islamic Foundation confirmed the matter on Tuesday.
The meeting will be held around 7:00pm to review reports of moon sighting of the holy Ramadan of 1439 Hijri.
Religious Affairs Minister and National Moon Sighting Committee President Principal Matiur Rahman will preside over the meeting, the press release said.
The committee requested people immediately inform Islamic foundation if they see moon of the Ramadan from anywhere in the country.
