Relationship with India not be strained: Obaidul

Awami League general secretary and road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader said, the relationship between Bangladesh and India will not be strained centering India’s Nation Register of Citizens (NRC).

Obaidul Quader said this while addressing a press briefing at secretariat on Monday noon.

He said, “Indian Prime Minister and foreign ministry told us repeatedly that there is nothing to be worried about National Register of Citizens (NRC) of India. We are still trusting them and observing the issue.”

Centering BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir’s speech over rally without permission, he said, BNP has no courage, strength or capability to hold public meeting without taking permission.
