Remain alert against fraud gang: ISPR

Staff Correspondent: The Inter Services Public Relation (ISPR) Directorate urged all to remain alert against frauds who are identifying themselves as army officers and seeking financial assistance from election candidates in a bid to provide them with various facilities.

The ISPR issued a press release in this regard on Wednesday.

“Members of Bangladesh Army remained deployed in different parts of the country since December 24 for the upcoming general election slated for December 30. A fraud gang identifying themselves as army officers deputed on the election field are trying to obtain personal gains using the army’s reputation,” the press release said.

Some dishonest persons identify themselves as army officers are demanding money from election contenders over phone, promising them to provide different facilities, said the press release.

The ISPR has also requested all concerned to remain cautious against them.
