Road crashes leave 3 dead in Rajshahi

Staff Correspondent, Rajshahi: Three people were killed in separate road accidents in Godagari upazila in the district on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Emadad Hossain Chandu, 50, son of Emajuddin of Faradpur village in Godagari upazila, KhusbuTajnim, 14, daughter of Sanarul Islam of same village and meat trader Jashimuddin, 20, son of Toslimuddin of Kasaipara area of Achuavata in the upazila.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Godagari Model Police Station Jahangir Alam said a Chapainawabganj bound truck hit a motorcycle at Chhoyghati area, leaving Emdad and Khusbu dead on the spot around 10:30 am.

Meanwhile, driver of another truck lost control over the steering and hit a roadside meat shop, killing Jashim on the spot.
