Rohingya influx still continues

Cox's Bazar Correspondent: Exodus of fleeing Rohingya people from Myanmar is still continuing. More Rohingyas are entering into Bangladesh almost every day crossing the Naf River.

A total of 226 Rohingyas entered into Bangladesh from Teknaf border in last two days. Of them, 42 families consisting of 141 Rohingyas crossed Hariakhali border point of Sabrang union from Sunday morning to evening. Besides, 85 people of 22 families entered Bangladesh on Saturday. Most of them were women and children.

The newly arrived Rohingyas said that they came here as there was a food crisis in Rakhine state.

It has been learnt that with this, over the last 22 days at least 659 Rohingya families crossed into Bangladesh from Myanmar crossing the Naf River. Later, they were kept at Nayapara of Teknaf and Balukhali of Ukhiya camps.
