Rohingya killed as rival groups clash in Cox's Bazar

Cox's Bazar Correspondent: A Rohingya man was killed in a clash between two groups of the forcibly displaced Myanmar citizens at Kutupalong Rohingya Camp in Ukhia upazila on Friday morning.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Hakim, 32, son of late Abdur Rahim, hailed from Kutupalong Camp's Block-D.

Abul Khayer, Officer-in-Charge of Ukhiya police station said, following previous enmity, a group of Rohingyas attacked Abdul Hakim with hammer, leaving him critically injured.

Later, locals rushed him to a hospital situated at Rohingya camp where duty doctor declared him dead.

The body was sent to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital for autopsy, the OC added.
