Rohingya woman stabbed dead in Cox's Bazar camp

Cox's Bazar Correspondent: A Rohingya woman was stabbed to death by an allied man at Kutupalong Lombashia camp of the district's Ukhiya upazila on Saturday noon.

The deceased was identified as Momtaz Ahmed, 35, while the killer was known as Arif Ullah.

Another Rohingya youth named Mohib Ullah sustained injuries during the incident.

Being informed, police held the alleged killer, Ukhiya Police Station OC Abul Khayer confirmed.

He said Arif Ullah stabbed Momtaz over previous enmity, leaving her serious wounded. The woman succumbed on way to medical centre.

Quoting Arif Ullah, OC said Momtaz fled to Bangladesh from Myanmar after killing Arif's brother two years ago. Arif also came to Bangladesh and was searching for her. Later, he stabbed the woman to take revenge after he had found her in the camp.
