Rooney breaks Manchester United goal record

Sport Desk: Wayne Rooney has broken Sir Bobby Charlton's all-time Manchester United scoring record after notching his 250th goal with a late equaliser at Stoke City on Saturday.
The 31-year-old came off the bench to net a stunning, stoppage-time free-kick on his 546th United appearance to move above Charlton, having played 212 fewer games than the England great.
Rooney, who joined United from Everton in 2004 and scored a Champions League hat-trick on his debut against Fenerbahce, curled the historic goal home from an acute angle just as United seemed to be slipping to a 1-0 defeat.
