Staff Correspondent: The High Court has issued a rule asking the Election Commission why the nomination of Jamaat candidates will not be declared illegal.
The court also ordered to settle a letter seeking cancellation of Jamaat candidates’ nomination within three days.
A bench of Justice Md Ashraful Islam and Justice Mohammad Ali passed the order on Tuesday.
Tarikat Federation Secretary General Syed Rezaul Haque Chandpuri filed the writ pleading to cancel nominations of candidates from Jamaat-e-Islami in the upcoming general polls.
