Rumour detection cell to go on activities in Oct

Parliament Correspondent: State Minister for Information Tarana Halim said the government is going to take steps against spreading rumours, fake and fabricated news in different social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and Google.

She said, “Rumour Monitoring Cell formed by the Information Ministry will start its journey in first week of October to inform media which information is fake or rumour.”

The State Minister told this while addressing in the Parliament session on Thursday.
