SSC candidate hacked dead in Khulna

Staff Correspondent, Khulna: Miscreants hacked an SSC candidate to death at Chanmari area of the city on Tuesday evening.

The deceased was identified as Khalilur Rahman Siyam, 16, son of Ainal Haque of the area. He was a ten grader of Rupsa Secondary School.

Police and locals said miscreants chopped Siyam with sharp weapons, wounding his legs, hands and neck and fled the scene around 6:00pm. Later, he was rushed to Khulna Medical College and Hospital where he succumbed around 8:20pm.

The incident might be happened over establishing supremacy and controlling drug peddling in the area, police primarily guessed.
