Sabbir joins PSL as Shakib’s replacement

Sports Desk: Sabbir Rahman got No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to participate in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Sabbir Rahman will replace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan who is nursing a finger injury. Sabbir has been banned from domestic cricket for six months because he assaulted a young spectator during a match late last year.

A top official of BCB said, "He is banned to play domestic cricket. There is no bar to participate in international tournament."

Getting the NOC from BCB, Sabbir left Dhaka with Mahmudullah and Mustafizur yesterday night.

The third edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is set to begin on February 22.
