School boy hacked dead in city

Staff Correspondent: A school boy was stabbed to death by a drug peddler in Golapbagh area of Jatrabair in the city on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Ridwan Islam Bivor.

Family sources said that a local drug paddler named Al-Amin attacked the school boy with a lethal weapon and fled the scene, leaving Ridwan critically injured around 4:00pm.

Later, the injured was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead at 5:20pm.

Dhaka Medical College Hospital police outpost Bachchu Mia confirmed the matter.

Jatrabari police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Anisur Rahman told risingbd.com a case will be filed in this regard.
