Schoolboy found dead after one day of missing

Staff Correspondent, Gazipur:  The body of a schoolboy has been recovered after one day of missing in Bahadurpur area of Gozipur city.

The deceased was identified as Ishtiaq Hossain Nifat, 11, a Class-V student of Vhawal Mirzapur Public School and son of Hazrat Ali of sadar upazila. He got GPA-5 in this year’s PSC examination.

Samir Chandra Sutradhar, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, Nifat had gone missing since Wednesday noon after he went out for playing.

However, later in the evening, the abductors demanded Tk 30 lakh as ransom over his father’s mobile phone.

Later, locals spotted the body near the victim’s residence, and police recovered the body on Thursday morning and sent it to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
