Shaheed Tajuddin Medical College closed sine die

Kaliganj Correspondent (Gazipur):  Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College in Gazipur has been declared closed for an indefinite period following a clash between the students and employees.

The college authority made the declaration on Tuesday and asked the students to vacate their residential halls by 6.00pm today.

College principal Dr M Asad Hossain confirmed the matter.

Campus sources said the clash ensued following alleged misbehave of some outsourcing employees of X-ray room with a student when he went there with his mother for her x-ray.

The clash began again on Tuesday morning when the employees went on work abstention and staged demonstration accusing the students of vandalism.

Later, police took control over the situation.
