Shakib appointed as MCC's World Cricket Committee member

Sports Desk: Shakib Al Hasan has been appointed as a member of the prestigious World Cricket Committee by the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC).

The all-rounder announced this through his official Facebook page on Thursday.

Shakib Al Hasan said, "I truly feel humbled that you have chosen me to be a member of the Prestigious MCC World Cricket Committee. Thank you for bestowing me with such an honour."



Established in 2006, the committee is composed of current and former cricketers and umpires and meets biannually. The committee discusses various issues related to the sport and recommends changes to cricketing rules and regulations to the ICC.

The first meeting of the committee will take place in Sydney on Jan 9 and Jan 10, 2018.
