Sheikh Hasina to receive 2 international awards

Secretariat Correspondent: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is going to receive two  international awards for her humanitarian roles in the Rohingya issue.

The two awards are- ‘International Achievement Award’ and ‘2018 Special Recognition for Outstanding Leadership award.

The awards will be given from separate organisations during the upcoming UN General Assembly in New York.

Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali made the disclosure while addressing reporters on Thursday.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will leave Dhaka for London on Friday morning en route to New York on a weeklong official visit to the United States to attend the 73rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
