Sheikh Hasina to vie polls from Gopalganj-3 only

Staff Correspondent: Awami League (AL) president, also Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will contest the upcoming 11th general election from one seat only. That is Gopalganj-3 constituency.

Though she was supposed to vie the polls from Rangpur-6 also, she left the seat for Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury.

The decision was taken on Thursday night. On Friday morning, it was found that Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury was replaced to Sheikh Hasina for Rangpur-6 in the list of AL candidates.

Earlier, Sheikh Hasina had submitted her nomination papers for Gopalganj-3 and Rangpur-6. Speaker Shirin Sharmin also submitted nomination paper as AL candidate for Rangpur-6.
