Shipping State Minister’s FB ID hacked

Staff Correspondent: State Minister for Shipping, also orgnasinging secretary of the ruling Awami League (AL) Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury’s Facebook account and page have been hacked.

His FB page and account were hacked on Thursday noon. His FB page and account were on the same name (Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury).

The state minister is currently on visit in Singapore, Canada and London for developing relationship with Payra sea port and other international sea ports.

The popular Awami League leader is always active on social media. He expresses his opinions on political and social issues.

At the very beginning of August, the tragic mourning month in the history of Bangladesh, Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury shared a post demanding return of Bangabandhu’s killer Nur Chowdhury who currently resides in Canada. The link supported filing petition seeking Nur Chowdhury back from Canada government.

ANM Ahmadul Bashar, personal assistant of Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, said, “More than 50,000 petitions were filed through the shared link before the state minister’s FB page and ID were hacked.”

It was learnt that hackers deleted the state minister’s name Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury from his facebook page and account and replaced a new photo with an image of a girl. Hackers changed his name to Sima Kumar (Kavita Singh).

All concerned were asked to be alert over the Facebook page and account of the state minister Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury.
