Shipping chief engineer held while taking bribe

Staff Correspondent: A shipping chief engineer has been caught red-handed while taking bribe at a restaurant in Dhaka on Thursday.
The arrestee is Nazmul Huq, chief engineer and surveyor of the Department of Shipping.
On information, a team of Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) launched a drive at a restaurant in Segunbagicha of the capital and arrested Nazmul Huq while taking bribe of Tk 5 lakh.
ACC's Public Relations Officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya confirmed this to risingbd.com.
ACC's Assistant Director Abdul Wadud filed a case with Ramna Model Thana in this regard.
On July 18 last year, the ACC arrested Fakhrul Islam, former chief engineer and surveyor of the same department was caught red-handed with bribe.
