Shipping dept chief engineer Nazmul suspended

Staff Correspondent: SM Nazmul Huq, chief engineer and surveyor of the Department of Shipping, has been temporarily suspended over allegedly taking a bribe of Tk 5 lakh for approving a ship's design.

A notification issued by the Shipping Ministry in this regard revealed the news on Sunday.

On April 12, a team of Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) arrested him while taking bribe of Tk 5 lakh at Segun Restaurant of the capital’s Segunbagicha area.
