Shovon makes application seeking resign from DU senate

Rezwanul Haque Chowdhury Shovon, the former president of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), has submitted an application seeking resign from the Dhaka University senate.

BCL office secretary Ahsan Habib and DU Central Students' Union (Ducsu) member Rafikul Islam Sabuz the resign letter of Shovon around 4:00pm on Monday.

Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman said, “I have got the resign letter of Shovon. Decision will be taken according to the rules.”

The annual senate session of Dhaka University (DU) was held on June 26. The senate members are - Ducsu VP Nurul Huq Nur, GS Golam Rabbani and its member Tilottoma Sikder and Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) central president Rezwanul Haque Chowdhury Shovon and its DU president Sanjit Chandra Das.
