Singer Saba Tani dies

Entertainment Desk: Bangladeshi singer Saba Tani died on Monday morning at her residence at Uttara in the city. She was 49.

Bangladeshi film actor Nayeem, the deceased’s cousin who is now in Malaysia said, that she was found dead inside a bathroom.

She had been suffering from low blood pressure for a long time, said Nayeem.
He also added that Saba Tani used to live with her mother in the Uttara house.

But on Sunday, the singer's mother went to New Eskaton to see her younger sister. Saba Tani could not be reached by phone last night, said Nayeem.

The caretaker of the house broke open the door of the house in the morning and found her body in the bathroom, he added.

Saba Tani was a popular singer of 1980s and 1990s.

Known for her pop numbers, Saba Tani won hearts of many through her songs like 'Kichhukhon', and 'Kono Baishakhi raate jodi.'

Saba Tani left behind her son, mother, two sisters and two brothers.
