Singer Shahnaz Rahmatullah no more

Entertainment Correspondent: Eminent singers of Shahnaz Rahmatullah has died at the age of 67.

She died of heart attack at her Baridhara residence in the capital around 1:00am on Sunday.

Born on January 2, 1952 in Dhaka to M Fazlul Haq and Asiya Haque, she was married to Abul Bashar Rahmatullah in 1973. She was taught singing as a child, and gained public recognition from a young age. In 1963, she started her carrier at the age of 11, as a playback singer. 

Her four songs were listed in the list of top 20 greatest Bangla songs of all times, according to a survey of BBC.
