Sirajganj Chhatra Da leader arrested

Sirajganj Correspondent: Police arrested Milon Haque Ranju, 30, joint convener of Sirajganj District Jatiya Chhatra Dal (JCD), in a case filed over sabotage and obstructing government activities.

Police arrested him from his own house of Nabadeeppur area of Dhanbandhi of the district town on Monday night.

Ranju is son of Manjurul Islam of Dhanbandhi area. He was former president of Sirajganj Government University College.

Confirming the arrest of Ranju, Helal Uddin, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sirajganj Sadar Police Station, said he (Ranju) is a accused in several cases including of sabotage, obstructing government duties. Arrest warrant was issued in at least three cases against him. He will be sent to jail through a court on Tuesday noon.
