Soldier Raihan laid to rest with due respect

Pabna Correspondent: Mohammad Raihan, a peacekeeper soldier who was killed in an explosion in the African country Mali, has been laid to eternal rest with mourning and respects.
The 31-year old soldier was buried at his ancestral home of Somashnari village of Sathia upazila in Pabna on Friday.
Locals said body of Raihan reached his village home from Dhaka around 1:45pm. Then, Captain Mahmud of Bogra cantonment handed the body to the family members.
Hundreds of people attended his Namaz-e-Janaza held at the ground of Somashnari madrasa. Later, he was buried at the graveyard adjacent to the madrasa.
Raihan was known as a son of Moslem Sheikh and Rahima Khatun couple of Somashnari village. He was the eldest among two sons and a daughter of the couple.
Raihan had two daughters- Israt Jahan Api and Nusrat Jahan Nodi. Of them, Nodi is just two and a half-year old.
Raihan joined Bangladesh Army on March 3 in 2004.
Raihan flew for joining the peacekeeping mission while he was at Jessore cantonment. He flew to Mali 10 months ago. He was supposed to return home after two months. Of course, he returned but not alive.
On February 28, four Bangladeshi peacekeepers were killed in an Improvised Explosive Device (IAD) explosion in Mali.
