Staff Correspondent, Chattogram: Cops found some clues over the death of Tashfia Amin, a class nine student of Sunshine Grammar School.
However, police denied to disclose the clues right now for the sake of investigation.
Her friend Adnan Mirza, a ninth grader of the same school, was picked up and being interrogated over the incident.
Police held him conducting a drive at their home on Thursday mid-night to uncover the mystery behind Tashfia’s death.
His mobile phone set and other electronic devices were also seized during the drive.
Police are also scrutinizing his all social media accounts including Facebook, WhatsApp and Imo.
Jahedul Islam, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Karnaphuli Zone) of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP), said, “Adnan was being interrogated after he had been held. Though some clues were found in this connection, it could not be disclosed for the sake of investigation.”
He said, “We collected a video footage in which we found Tashfia was with Adnan till the evening of the day when she went missing. But, it is not immediately clear that how she went to Patenga Neval road, nearly 18 kilometers away from the restaurant where she met Adnan. We are trying to uncover the mystery behind her death.”
Police recovered Tashfia’s body from the north side of no 18 bridge of the Patenga sea beach on Wednesday morning.
Later, her father Mohammad Amin, a resident of Nizam Road in the city, detected the body.
