Special security during Durga Puja

Secretariat Correspondent: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said special security measures will be taken at 3,077 Durga Puja sites, including 231 in Dhaka, across the country.

The Minister came up with the statement after a meeting with Puja Committee leaders at the ministry of Bangladesh Secretariat on Sunday noon.

Along with Police, RAB and other law enforcement agencies, 1,68,000 Ansar members will also be deployed at the Puja sites across the country, he added.

The Minister also said the Puja rituals will have to end within 8:00pm, starting at 3:00pm.
