Sr asst secretary arrested over embezzling Tk 5 crore

Staff Correspondent: The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has arrested senior assistant secretary (Land Acquisition Officer of Pirojpur) Md Setaful Islam over embezzling Tk 5 crore.

A combined team of ACC's Barisal Divisional Office arrested him in front of Pirojpur circuit house around 6:15pm on Wednesday.

ACC's Public Relations Officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya confirmed the news to risingbd.

ACC assistant director Ram Prasad Mondal filed a case (no. 31) with Kishoreganj police station in this connection on Wednesday.
