Sri Lanka heading for big score

Sport Desk: Sri Lanka heading for a big lead as they scored 148 for 5 taking a massive 260 runs overall lead during the 3rd session against Bangladesh on the second day of the final Test at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur on Friday.

Back with a healthy 112 runs first innings lead, Sri Lankan, however, lost their opener Kusal Mendis for 7 after the lunch break. Left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak brought the first success for his team trapping Mendis leg before wicket.

One down Dhananjaya de Silva departed from the crease after adding useful run of 28. Taijul made him clean bowled. After that bowling sensation Mustafizur Rahman dismissed Danushka Gunathilaka for 17.

Dimuth Karunaratne with 29 and Dinesh Chandimal with 4 on the crease as the umpire removed the bails for lunch break.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz bagged two wickets while Abdur Rzzak, Taijul Islam and Mustafizur Rahman shared one wicket each.

Earlier, Bangladesh dismissed their first innings at 110 in reply to a Sri Lankan first innings total of 222.
