State minister for youth and sports visits Walton factory

Staff Correspondent: State Minister for Youth and Sports Md Zahid Ahsan Russel is now visiting Walton factory in Chandra of Gazipur to observe the country’s advancement in manufacturing hi-tech products.

Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited Chairman SM Rezaul Alam welcomed the state minister with flower bouquet around 3pm today (Monday).

Acting secretary of the ministry of youth and sports Dr Md Jafar Uddin was present as special guest while Kaliakair Upazial Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Gazi Hafizul Amin, Upazila Parishad Chairman Kamal Uddin Sikdar, vice-chairman Selim Azad, Walton Group Executive Directors Humayun Kabir, F M Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn, Alamgir Alam Sarker and Liakat Ali, Deputy Executive Director Shahzada Selim, Senior Additional Director Mohsin Ali Mollah, Media Adviser Enayet Ferdous were also present, among others, on the occasion.

After the arrival around 3pm he inaugurated a new model of Walton laptop at the Walton Hi-Tech Industries Ltd on the day.

The state minister enjoyed a corporate documentary at the conference room of Walton Hi-Tech Industries Ltd on Walton and then visited its product display center of the giant factory of the multinational company.

A team along with the junior minister is also set to witness various production units of refrigerators, compressors, air conditioners, televisions, laptop-computers, mobile phones and other appliances of the leading company.
