Student stabbed dead in Chattogram

Staff Correspondent, Chattogram: A schoolboy named Imteaz Hasan Mahin, 14 was stabbed to death by a shop worker in the port city.

The incident took place on Friday night in Agrabad Park area of Double Mooring Thana area.

Mahin was the class-eight student of Agrabad Kalkakoli High School.

Police arrested the attacker Shahed (16).

Soyedul Alam, a sub-inspector at Double Mooring Police Station, said Mahin along with his friends were sitting near a department store in the evening.
 
At one stage, he locked into an altercation with the staff of the shop over a trifling matter, the SI said.
 
Later, Shahed stabbed Mahin indiscriminately, leaving him critically injured.
 
Mahin was taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
