Suicide of CMCH doctor: Wife Mitu arrested

Staff Correspondent, Chattogram: Police has arrested Dr. Tanjila Haq Mitu in connection with the suicide of her husband Mustafa Murshed Akash, a doctor of Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH).

A team of Counter Terrorism Unit of police arrested her from Nandonkanon area of the port city on Thursday midnight.

Mustafa Murshed Akash, 33, died allegedly by suicide at his residence in Chandgaon Residential Area in the port city early Thursday.

Akash wrote a suicide note accusing his wife Mitu.

Akash was a student of Chittagong Medical College's 47th batch and completed MBBS in 2010, said Mujibul Haque Khan, president of Bangladesh Medical Association, Chattogram, adding, he was also doing post-graduate training.
